Marijn de Bruin

Marijn de Bruin is assistant professor Intervention Design & Behavior Change, with a focus on health behavior . He graduated in Health Education and Health Promotion (Faculty of Health Sciences, Maastricht University) and completed his PhD-thesis at the Faculty of Psychology of the same university. His applied psychological research focuses on the development and testing of theory- and evidence-based health promotion/behavior change interventions, with the main focus on supporting adherence to HIV/AIDS, diabetes and asthma treatment. Other domains such as exercise behavior and (un)healthy eating also have his interest. Marijn has experience with qualitative and quantitative determinant studies of health behavior, randomized controlled trials, and meta-analyses. His work is strongly embedded in psychological theories of behavior and behavior change.
